Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to my sons Rick and Chris!  You make me proud every day of the men you have become and the fathers that you are.

Also Happy Father's Day to my wonderful husband Hud!  I don't think Rick and Chris could have a better stepfather or friend than you, but I think your most important role is "Papa" to your four grandchildren.  You are the best!

Infusion..........

Never heard of it?  Well, when you live with Rheumatoid Arthritis, it's a lifeline.  For the past year I've been receiving an infusion of Remicade every two months to help keep me energetic and to halt the damage arthritis does on my joints.  You receive an I.V. and sit and wait for two to three hours while that magic juice does its work.  It's a good time to relax with a book or take a nap.  That's how I keep up my strength to do all the projects in my cottage home.

Profile Picture

Until I began the search for a profile photo, I didn't realize we have no photos of me alone.  Me with husband, me with sons and daughter-in-laws, me with the grandchildren.  The only one I could find was from a cruise we took last year.  I'm the one on the right with the necklace, in case you didn't pick up on that.

Here are photos of the rest of the family.....  I think I've got the cutest grandkids on the planet.  I even have a pin that I received for Mother's Day...it says Best Nana!  Sorry all you other Nana's out there, I'm the Best!  Unless you have a pin too.

My first day............

of blogging.  It's not the actual blogging that's difficult, it's setting up the site.

What a great weekend I've had!  Yesterday, a flea market in the morning and then a trip to a craft store in the afternoon.  I got a great little bench at the flea market for $20 and my plan is to paint it black.    I'll probably make a cushion for it and then it will be a great place for the grandkids to sit.  At the craft store, I found some interesting book ends that had cows on them.  I took the cow heads off the stand and put hooks on the back of them.  They are now hanging in the kitchen by the window.  I'll try to post a picture of them.  I paid $6.24 for each of them and if I do say so, they look spectacular.  Ok, I was raised on a dairy farm in PA and I like cows.  What can I say?
