3 More items for my redecorating project...

Should this be white?

Should this be black?

My first toile for the house.  I will tell you, the check is for trim.

By the way, this project will be completed by July 12.  I've even hired my contractor son Rick to create a big part of this project.  He's doing the interior trim on an 8000 square foot house right now but he wants me to pressure him to get my job done.  Okey dokey.  I'm great at nagging, just ask Mr. Bird Nest.

My cousin and her husband are coming to visit from Florida so I'm on a rampage to be ready for their visit.  They've never been here, so you know what it's like.  We don't want them to see how we really live, only how we'd like to live.  Oh, the fun she and I used to have when we were teenagers.  I used to visit her in the summers and we spent every day at the beach.

Mr. Bird Nest and I are taking a one day trip, maybe two, tomorrow to Franklin, Silva and Highlands, NC.  We're meeting his sister for lunch in Franklin and then lots of shopping and antiquing.  No worries, I've already packed the camera.  This is my first travel since the surgery but at least I should be comfy in the anniversary car.

Skater boarder...

I was at Wal-Mart one day and found a pack a fat quarters (that's fabric for you non quilters).  One had guitars, one had musical notes, one was red with white stars and one had skeletons.  Of course, I had to get it for Nicholas.  Now what to do with it?008

Well, here are Nicholas and Chloe.  I was afraid she might want one too.

This is what all the skateboarders I see wear and he looks adorable.  His Mom said he wore it to the Mall with her on Friday and held her hand.  He may be a skateboarder but there's no one like Mom to hold on to.

It's been a while...

I know I've been gone a long time.  I'm almost fully recovered from my total knee replacement.  You have all been so thoughtful and patient.  I can't tell you how much your cards, letters, packages and thoughts have meant to me.  I wish everyone could be blessed by such wonderful friends.

The other person I must thank again and again is my wonderful husband.  Today is our 19th wedding anniversary and I was lucky that he chose me, those many years ago.  He took the best care of me when I was recovering.  When you have to have a chair in the shower and your husband has to be the one to give you the shower, you know no greater humiliation.  Hey, I don't have the body I had when we were introduced 29 years ago by my brother John.  Then it might have been fun.

The additional problems with my rheumatoid arthritis has been effecting my hands even more.  Mr. Bird Nest has hooked me up with voice-activated capacity, so I can continue to blog just by talking.  Every woman's dream.  You talk and at least someone is listening.

We have a project that my husband and son are working on.  It will be a couple of weeks before it's all done but I'll tempt you with a few of the things that will be included.

OK! OK!  I've only been watching HGTV and Candace Olson has finally hooked me in.

This is one of the elements in my new design.  Keep posted for more.
