I decided to move this candle tree from the screened porch to my garden tub. I can't wait to soak in there with the candles lits and bubbles everywhere.
I think I'll enjoy it more here than on the porch.

I thought you might enjoy seeing pictures of this house 3 miles from our house. They have about 6 of these gates with white fencing surrounding the property.
Cute little place, huh?
I'll keep taking pictures as it progresses.

Last Saturday we stopped at a store in Fletcher, NC. to pick up these things for my project. I hope this all turns out. I've never made anything quite this big.
These are the fabrics that will go with the foam and quilt backing.

This is a fun place to visit in Franklin, NC.
This is a huge building just filled with antiques. You can see you have to look at everything so you don't miss a treasure.
This picture doesn't do this furniture justice.
If only this corner cupboard would have had glass doors.
That's a quick tour of Franklin, NC.
Mr. Bird Nest got this super gift from Nicholas and Chloe for father's day. It is hanging right beside his chair on the screened porch, so he can see it every day. They are a couple of "sweeties"!
A special thank you to Noelle who helped with these for their Daddy and Papa Nick.

This is the restaurant my sister-in-law manages. The food is all home-made and the bakery items melt in your mouth. We ate lunch there.
This beautiful sculpture was in the front of the restaurant in a fountain. Sorry the picture isn't better.
This was the restaurant where we ate dinner. It's almost directly across from the bakery but I can't remember the name of it.
I had the most marvelous homemade ravioli stuffed with wild mushrooms and served in a walnut cream sauce. Yummy!
OK, someone needs to get me on a TV episode of "What Not To Wear"! My gosh, what was I thinking. I've lost 17 lbs since I had my knee replacement but I look like I gained 170 lbs.

We left for North Carolina early in the morning and our first stop was at Bloomfield's of Flat Rock. It used to be called the "Dish Barn" but anyhoo it mostly has dishes. Here's what I found there.
I don't drink cream in my tea but this little cow pitcher was too cute to pass up.
I've been looking for something to put bird seed in that the little girls could reach and I found it. Now I just need to find a perfect outside spot for it.
For those who collect them, they had Woodland Spode dishes on sale. The plates were $22.00 each. I may have to go back there.
I bought this beautiful handmade cane at a craft festival in Dillsboro, NC. It came in handy for all the walking I did.
I see a collection starting.
We saw this train come in in Dillsboro.
I'll continue with the trip and some antiques tomorrow.
