Our grandson Carson has been doing Martial Arts for several months now and he is really doing well. This was my first visit to his class and although he is the smallest participant he has more energy than most of the big kids.
The Center is operated by Master Kim, who is a Korean former National Champion.

They give a lot of individualized attention to each student and I was really impressed by that. Carson is 5 years old and it's not easy for a small 5 year old to focus on each detail but Chris (my son) begins on the ride to practice by talking to him about getting serious and focusing on the job he has to do.

Kelly, his teacher, has been studying for 22 years and Carson really listens to her. They give such positive reinforcement the kids can't help but learn.
You can see how serious Carson is just by the look on his face.
When this teacher was working with him he asked how Carson knew what the one movement was called and he said his Daddy told him.
No one here at the center knows Chris (my youngest son) has been studying martial arts since he was about 19 and in the Navy. He's 38 now and could probably be considered a 4th degree black belt. Actually in Wing Chun they don't receive belts.
While we were watching the practice, I asked Chris if Master Kim knew he could kick his butt? He said no one there even knows that he has studied Wing Chun for so long and he plans to keep it that way. I think it's kind of sweet that he can help Carson but doesn't want any attention on himself. Did I raise a good kid or what?
