I got these two little Indians for my Thanksgiving decor at Cracker Barrel this week. They had been $10.00 for the pair but they were 40% off. The grandchildren will love them.

This week I got 10 dinner plates and 10 salad plates. If I had gotten place settings they had cups and saucers and a bread and butter plate. Since I know my sons will actually want these some day, they would probably rather have mugs. Another collection begins.
As expected, Mr. Bird Nest wasn't at all excited about this purchase. Oh the burdens he must endure to be married to me.
Have a great weekend.

Cheryl of Oklahoma. Cheryl has actually been one of my blog readers for a very long time and as soon as she sends me her home address I will get her package out to her.
Thanks to all of you for participating.

Both of my sons are Navy Veteran's and I couldn't be more proud of them. That almost makes up for their teen years (almost). OK, it does.
I found this sign while we were on vacation and hung it by the front door.
Mr. Bird Nest and I want to thank all the Veteran's for their service to our country.

Last Saturday Chloe and Nicholas went crow hunting with their Daddy. Mommy, Noelle, was working at the hospital so Rick packed a lunch and all their gear and off they went hunting.
As you can see, they are all geared up with camo outfits. FYI: Nicholas gun is a toy.
I told Noelle when Chloe is on the U.S. Olympic Shooting Team she'll be glad Rick gave them an opportunity to try different things.

Mr. Bird Nest took these pictures after he discovered this hornet nest while mulching leaves in the back yard on Sunday.
I don't know if you can tell but it is huge!
It's supposed to rain all day tomorrow, so maybe it will fall down. More likely I'll try to hit it with the hose and knock it down. Bees don't really scare me but I have to admit this is one big hive.

Don't forget I'm having a giveaway on Thursday, November 12. Leave a comment to enter the drawing.
This rhodendrum is on the north side of the house by our bedroom window. Here is the interesting part. It's Sunday, November 8 and this plant is just now blooming.
There is one right beside it that bloomed in June when it is supposed to.
A beautiful bud in November. Maybe they'll be blooming for our Thanksgiving table. They don't quite go with my colors for the table though.
