Susan from Between Naps on the Porch told me they have a room in their house they call the library. We have one too. Mr. Bird Nest built me these book shelves for my birthday one year. Our room is very small but anyone can have a library and since books are so special to me, I decided we needed a room for them.
My decorating books are all in the living room and sometime I need to get at least this many shelves built for them.
I'm planning to paint a sign with some of my barn wood I brought from Pennsylvania. Can you guess what it will say? No, not library.
We bought these Lazy-Boy chairs and ottoman to have really comfy chairs to read in. I can put my tea on the table between the chairs and snuggle up with this faux fur blanket. The grandchildren love snuggling up in this blanket too.
The pictures above the left chair are of my Daddy's basketball team. The rodeo program and poster are from a trip Mr. Bird Nest and I made to Wyoming 10 years ago.
Don't let anyone tell you can't have a library in your home. All you need is one book to start your collection.
