Betsy's Beautiful Home...

119
This is the entrance to my cousin Betsy's home.  Don't you love the tumbled pavers they have added to the semi-circular driveway?

123

Betsy just retired as a school guidance counselor after many years of dedication.

118

She isplanning to add new windows to their house sometime this fall.

Betsy loves to travel and so far a few of the places they have visited are Russia, Eqypt, Australia, Alaska and New Zealand.  This spring they are going on a cruise across the Atlantic to Italy for 20 days.

088
This is a built-in hutch in her kitchen filled with mementos from her travels with Pete, her husband.

I thought about popping a couple of these plates into my suitcase.

089
Look at her beautiful Christmas china.  I would display it year round, if I had it too.

091
This is her living room.  My photography isn't the best for some reason but her home is just lovely.  I only photographed some of the rooms.  I skipped the other two bedrooms, two baths, family room and den.

106
She had two of these sweet little vases filled with roses.  Mmmmm.

107
She had the cutest Easter decorations.

108
Betsy collects Easter eggs.

109
I think Betsy told me she got these eggs in Ireland.  Another thing I wanted to put in my suitcase.

110
Another picture of the living room.

103
I love her breakfront and her dining table.  Obviously, her house is much more formal than mine.

104

I couldn't get a picture of the table but isn't the mirror and tureen special?

097

This is one of the guest baths.  Love the plantation shutters!

102
She even had fresh flowers in here.

099
This was the suite where Papa stayed.  Nicholas and I shared the guest room with twin beds.  It was on the other side of the house and I didn't want him to be by himself.

100
Papa had his own TV and two closets.  If he had made the bed, you could have seen it.

101
Isn't this little desk perfect?

086
Here is Betsy in her garden.

078
Nicholas and Pete in the pool.

083
I wanted so badly to jump it but the water was too cool for me.

084

More pool deck of tumbled stone.

112

114
There is another table off Hud's suite.

Jensen Beach - Stuart, FL

Monday, March 29, 2010

059

These little flowers were in the sand dunes on the walk to the beach.

060

They were just everywhere and really beautiful.

061
Apparently, Papa only can take pictures of my butt.  I swear there are no pictures of me from the front.

062
The water was cool but the waves were great.

064

What a cute little summer family home!!!!

065
Supposedly a wave came up and hit Nicholas and knocked him down.  We had to go to the Cowabunga Surf Shop to buy him another shirt after we were done.

066
We're still collecting shells.

069
He wanted to dive in so very badly.

070
Do you think Nicholas was having a good time?  Oh, yeah!

071
Love this photo!

072
He just ran up and down the beach.  I was exhausted watching him.

073
This must have been him out-running the wave.

Alligator Farm - St. Augustine

016
Can you believe the size of these critters?

015
They had two white alligators.

022
This was the stamp Nicholas got.

021
Even an alligator enjoys a waterfall.

033

They had beautiful birds.

035

036

038
Nicholas riding the alligators.

039

017
These were huge!

053
Check out the baby on top of the Mama.

043

This was their largest alligator.  I couldn't even get it in a full picture.

042

034
Look at all the moss on this turtle.
