This is the entrance to my cousin Betsy's home. Don't you love the tumbled pavers they have added to the semi-circular driveway?
Betsy just retired as a school guidance counselor after many years of dedication.
She isplanning to add new windows to their house sometime this fall.
Betsy loves to travel and so far a few of the places they have visited are Russia, Eqypt, Australia, Alaska and New Zealand. This spring they are going on a cruise across the Atlantic to Italy for 20 days.
This is a built-in hutch in her kitchen filled with mementos from her travels with Pete, her husband.
I thought about popping a couple of these plates into my suitcase.
Look at her beautiful Christmas china. I would display it year round, if I had it too.
This is her living room. My photography isn't the best for some reason but her home is just lovely. I only photographed some of the rooms. I skipped the other two bedrooms, two baths, family room and den.
She had two of these sweet little vases filled with roses. Mmmmm.
She had the cutest Easter decorations.
I think Betsy told me she got these eggs in Ireland. Another thing I wanted to put in my suitcase.
Another picture of the living room.
I love her breakfront and her dining table. Obviously, her house is much more formal than mine.
I couldn't get a picture of the table but isn't the mirror and tureen special?
This is one of the guest baths. Love the plantation shutters!
She even had fresh flowers in here.
This was the suite where Papa stayed. Nicholas and I shared the guest room with twin beds. It was on the other side of the house and I didn't want him to be by himself.
Papa had his own TV and two closets. If he had made the bed, you could have seen it.
Isn't this little desk perfect?
Nicholas and Pete in the pool.
I wanted so badly to jump it but the water was too cool for me.
More pool deck of tumbled stone.
There is another table off Hud's suite.
Betsy, Pete and their new little buddy.
