Turkeys on Memorial Day...

001
In case you haven't figured it out yet, we live in the country.  Shopping is something I had to drive to do.....until now.

We have a new/old thrift shop about 3 miles from our house.  I found these adorable turkeys for $4.50.

002
The next time I will try to take my camera and show you pictures.  You can't imagine how inexpensive everything was.

New Decorating Books...

001
I found these two books on sale at Barnes and Noble this week.

The Better Homes and Gardens one has lots of great ideas and I was surprised at how much I learned from the one by Nate Berkus.  Usually what he does is more contemporary but he asked a lot of questions that make it easier to figure out what you want to do.

003
I'm excited about reading and looking through these two books this weekend.

Thanks for reading,

Recycle...

003
Our grandson Nicholas has been talking to me about recycling and I've finally gotten started.  Kids learn so many good things in school now and I'm glad they like to share information with us old folks.

I found these perfect small plastic trash cans with lids that lock.  When I take these cans to the recycle center, they seal tightly and I don't need to worry about anything spilling in the trunk of my car.

004
I only have room for 4 of these cans in the pantry but they do stack easily.  I bought them at Dollar General for $5.00 each.

The Pool Is Open...

002

Nicholas and Mr. Bird Nest in a major water battle.

008

Mr. Bird Nest was exhausted after the children went home.

003

Chloe couldn't wait to get on the Little Tykes slide and go into the pool.

006

Nana with Chloe.

004

The temperature of the water was about 78 degrees.

009

Nicholas can now stand up in the pool and his head stays dry.  He really has grown a lot taller.

015

Noelle, DIL, took these last two pictures.  Obviously, she has a lot of photographic talent.

017

They were cold and snuggling when they got up.
