The Porch...

 
Well, here they are and I painted both black.  I just didn't have the patience to get them to a red that matched the shutters. 

I'll try to get the cushions made this weekend. 

Actually, this is my favorite time of the year to enjoy the porch.  I can take a cup of tea out there in the morning and watch all the poor people who have to go to work or take a book out in the afternoon to watch them come home.  It's really good to be retired. 

I need some kind of table or cabinet for out there and a stool to put my feet on and I should be all set.

Black Tigers...

 
Monday night I went for the first time to Nicholas' football practice.  He's just beginning third grade and this is his first year playing football.

 
They move so fast it was hard for me to get a lot of pictures of Nicholas.

 These kids really mix it up.

I thought Nicholas was the best offensive player but that could just be his Nana speaking.  This was the most fun I've had in ages, except for the walk up the hill after practice was over. Darn, but it was a hike.

More Painting...

 
Chloe and I had a playdate yesterday while her mother had a test to take at work. 

First thing in the morning we had a tea party.

Next we were on to the really fun stuff......painting.  It's taken me all summer to get the front porch furniture painted.  Thank heaven for Nicholas and Chloe or it would never have gotten done.

 
By the time we had the primer on, we had it alll over us.  She's a good painter for 4 years old.
  
 
I guess this is Chloe's painting fashion pose.  She looked a lot better than her Nana did.  I'm usually a neat painted but I had it everywhere.
