I bought these cute little Goebel birds on E-Bay. My best friend (from about the age of three) had them. She sells a lot of jewelry too. I need to stay away from that.
Happy Friday!
Hugs, Gretchen
I got these candlesticks from Target about a year ago. They were plain white. Yesterday, I had a brainstorm. Don't laugh, occasionally I come up with a few decorating ideas.
A few red polka dots (while I watched TV) and "ta dah" cuter candlesticks.
I'm still cruising the Internet for Red Polka Dot silverware.
Hugs, Gretchen
I thought these would be cute on my windowsill this winter and it won't take many flowers to fill them.
I'm looking for red and white checked or polka dot silverware to go with my pink Spode China. I have searched everywhere for it and can't find it. I'll send a fun box of treats to the person who helps me find it.
I'm sorry I haven't blogged for a week or so. I had to spend 9/17 in the hospital having an outpatient procedure and then 4-5 more hours having an infusion of potassium because my potassium level was at 2.5 before the procedure. Such a low level can cause arrhythmia during surgery. Even after the infusion my rate only went up to 3.4. We got home at 10:00 p.m. that Friday night. Mr. Bird Nest was there through it all. His patience level was tested for sure. Gosh does that stuff burn going in the I.V.
I had tests every day this past week. Monday - T.B. Test, Blood Work Tuesday - Dermatologist, Wednesday- Mammogram, Thursday - Remicade Infusion, and Friday - More Blood Work.
Now to Nicholas' game. They had their first game at 10:15 at Greer's old High School Stadium They lost but it was about 95 degrees outside.
We couldn't get enough water and Gatorade in these kids. We ate lunch and then they played their second game at 2:00.
They have Nicholas playing three positions. Defensive back, wide receiver and back-up quarterback.
They lost this, their third game. Hello! Coach! The current quarterback stinks, put in Nicholas. Nana wants to have a talk with the coach but Papa and Rick said I can't do that.
These guys had to be discussing how bad things were going and how stinking hot it was.
The game is over but Nicholas is on his way to Lake Hartwell to a birthday party. He can't wait to dive into the water.
Nicholas and his good buddies, Jackson on the left and Jake on the right look they are as hot as Nicholas.
Next time "BUDDY" things will go better.
Even Papa got off work early on Saturday to see the second game.
He played Outside Linebacker for his high school from 8th grade. His senior year, 1971, they won the "Little 10" Championship for Brookville High School in Brookville, Pennsylvania.
