Decorating for Halloween...

001

This is by the front steps.

002

I made the sign that's on the steps.  I wish you could see the witch on the door a little better.

003

I also made the BOO signs in the flower pots.

004

I skipped sewing the summer covers for the cushions on the porch and just put on the winter ones.  These are fleece and the perfect place to sit and read in the fall.  I even made a blanket to snuggle up with.

005

I love this little pillow.

New Books for my Library...

003
I just got these books and I'll let you know what I think of them.

Today I want to thank all of you who take the time to read my blog and comment on it.  If I wasn't lucky enough to have grandchildren, sometimes I don't know what I would write about.

My goal this year is to try to meet as many of you in person as possible.

Game 4 of Nicholas playing football...

001
Nicholas's team is getting ready to run onto the field.

002

Listening to one of his coaches and wearing his new catching gloves.

003

Nicholas decided to wear one red sock and one black one.  I have to admit it made him easier to find on the field.

004
Nicholas is getting ready to engineer his first touchdown drive.  Yes, he's finally playing quarterback and he was awesome.  To bad for the team they didn't keep him in the entire game.

005
He had about a 40 yard run too when he was quarterback.

006
I knew he was super nervous about playing quartback for part of the game.  I think that's why he's by himself on the side line.  He's probably running plays through his head.

It  was a beautiful fall day to watch football.  We couldn't be any prouder of Nicholas than we were during his game.  He's such a good sport and always listens to his coach.

His Nana would probably have him playing quarterback the entire game, but what do I know.  I've only been watching football from the time I was 7 or 8 years old.  His coach wasn't even born yet during all those years I was watching.  Hey, if your Nana can't have your back, who can?
