Isn't She A Cutie?
Yesterday, before a dentist appointment, I had to go to Kohl's to return something I ordered on-line. I'll get to that later. Well, this particular Kohl's is right beside a Hobby Lobby and you guessed it, I stopped by. I found this cow and I'm bonkers about her. She's pottery or resin (I think) and was $19.99 but I just happened to have a 40% off coupon in my purse. It was mine for only $11.99. Isn't she sweet? I don't know where she'll eventually land but she's got a place of prominence on my living room shelves for now.
As for the Kohl's trip, I have not told you yet but I'm going to the Haven Conference for bloggers in Atlanta, GA in June. Yes, I know I'll probably be the oldest person there, but even Mr. Bird Nest said I should go. He even paid for my registration and he hates to part with his money! I think he has an ulterior motive though. He read the schedule and thinks now he'll talk me into putting ads on my blog. I'm not sure about that but I am excited to hear the speakers and meet other bloggers. So far, the only other bloggers I've ever met are Penny from Comforts of Home and Dawn from The Gahan Girls. Back to my Kohl's shopping trip. I've got to have new duds for the Conference and I hope they don't mind if I wear capri pants or whatever they are called. My calves are the slimmest part of my body and the only part I want to show off. LOL.
I'm working on a reveal but it's a secret. I will tell you though that I'm using my Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.

Ah, I live 1 mile from Kohls, I love that store. Love the cow and I have the same book. We have so much in common! I am sure there will be many people in capri's - thank goodness for them, because I certainly cannot wear shorts anymore! I don't mind people who use advertising on their blog. If it brings in a few cents for you, all the better.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the conference! I think capris would be fine. As a child, I was told that I'm actually missing a muscle in my calves, which definitely makes them look thinner. The down side? They make the rest of my legs look larger! :) So, I can relate to your comment about that. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Gretchen! Oh, what a cute little cow! Hope you find the perfect clothes for the conference. I'll bet you'll have a wonderful time! I've never met a blogging friend yet!
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in and be a sweettie,
Shelia ;)
Well, that cow is just perfect! You are going to have so much fun at your conference. You are so nice and open that other bloggers will just flock to you!
ReplyDeleteThat's a keeper! I'm so excited that you get to go.

Gretchen, You little cow will be a very fun addition to your bookshelves!
ReplyDeleteYou will learn so much at the Blogger's conference! I went to one when I first started blogging and I WAS the oldest one there. All the girls were on their iphones and I asked another blogger, "What are they doing?" and she said tweeting. That was the first time I heard of tweeting. HAHA! Now I have an account and use it often!
Have a wonderful time!
I am a new follower!
Love the cow! And I have the same book, too! It's a good one, isn't it? You'll look fine in capris and I know you'll have a great time. Can't wait to hear about it, Gretchen!
