These are my two favorite magazines. The English Home that is available as a subscription or I've bought it at Barnes & Noble. Country Living everyone knows about.
I have many, many copies of The English Home that I keep in my guest room. I haven't kept copies of Country Living because I've been reading it since the first issue was out and I've moved too many times to keep them all. Maybe I will start again though. I've always just kept clippings from them that I look through from time to time. I tossed out most of those last year during a cleaning frenzy.
Recently, I placed a subscription order for British Country Living. I read on Heidi Devlin's blog that she reads it and that was good enough for me. Heidi and I seem to have similar tastes (hers is far better than mine) and I know I will love it.
Hope you will try one of these out, if you haven't ever read them.

I use to collect Country Living. I would go to fairs and garage sales and look for them. Finally got rid of them. I am not familiar with the other one, but I am curious to find out...

Those are two of my faves, too. I buy the English one. Awfully expensive to order so I will just buy them at the store.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read ountry Living. Didn't know that we could subscribe to it. I have been a little dissappointed in our CL. It's not as good as it used to be. I loved COuntry Home and Mary Englebreitand I was sad when it went out of print.

I am a huge lover of each of these magazines & magazines in general!! Country Living I used to ask my mom to purchase when I was shopping with her at the grocery store as young teen!...How funny is that!...and the English Home is simply inspiring as well!...but my all time favorite is the British Country Home, just as you mentioned!!..I klow it is preice-y, but it reminds me of how life should be, simple & earthy & luscious!! :).....

Big fan of Country Living also. Haven't seen the other before, but looks like it could be a winner. I have trouble getting rid of my magazines. Especially sine the cost so much, even with subscriptions sometimes. You can imagine my stash!
