Care for a swim? Mr. Bird Nest spent an entire weekend power washing the fence and pool deck a few weeks ago.
The butterfly bushes are already blooming and soon they should give us total privacy when we're in the pool. We also get to watch the hummingbirds and butterflies.
We even have a "Welcome" stone to step on before you get to the "locked" gate. Of course now, most of our grandchildren are big enough to climb over it. Shh....don't tell them.
Mr. Bird Nest you got some "splaining" to do. Memorial Day weekend starts today!
OK, he spent last weekend taking off the winter cover, cleaning the pool and adding the salt (it's a salt water pool). He also put on the new solar cover. He thought the water was too cold to put the ladder in, but he's got to get that done. Good thing he's off work for 4 days beginning on Friday.
I'm picking up Chloe and Nicholas today to spend the weekend and they will want to swim. A few days ago, Chloe modeled two new swimsuits for us.
When Lauren, who is 5, came over for our Annual Christmas Eve get together, she wanted to know if the pool was open. Yes, our grandchildren love to swim and we are more than happy to lifeguard!

We also have a pool. Typically we drain our pool every year and then clean it out and refill. It is an ancient 20x40 "C-ment" pool. LOL! Anywho, this year we decided to keep the water, treat it heavily and then next year do the major dumping. We are now 2nd guessing our decision because it's not clear yet after many treatments to make it so. May not be swimable for a few weeks. Who knows! Hope you get lots of enjoyment out of yours this weekend!
ReplyDeleteHow fun you'll be having your little grands. I'm sure they'll love your pool. We were on a cruise ship once that had a salt water pool. I can't swim but was floating all over the place. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Memorial Day weekend.
Be a sweetie,
shelia ;)
