Nana's Little Helper...

This is a small corner of the garden that Chloe and I are trying to turn into a Fairie Garden.

My little helper really knows how to pose.

This daylily is an unusual color.  The best part is that it blooms all summer long.  Don't look at all the dead leaves around it.  I'm really behind on working in my flower gardens and not much is going to be happening for a few weeks.  It's supposed to be 99 degrees here tomorrow and hotter next week.

Chloe is checking the toad house for toads.  That's procedure every time the kids are here.

Nope, he's underground.  I guess it's even too hot for him.

The zinnia's are now taller than Chloe.

That's it for now.  We leave for vacation tomorrow and I haven't packed a thing.

  1. Gretchen, What a cutie she is. I like that they all check for toads. Wonder what would happen if one jumped out when they lifted the house. :):)Smiles, Susie

  7. Gretchen~ Chloe is just the cutest little thing. She looks like a little fairy herself- like a puff of wind could flutter her from place to another...there is just a sweet innocence about her that shows up in the photos. Love all your gardens and I you should see MY dead leaves, etc. NOT good~ xo Diana

  10. Hi Gretchen!
Your little Chloe is just a doll! It was pure joy getting to meet you at Haven. I too felt a bit starstruck meeting everyone. You see someone everyday on your blog and meeting them in real life kinda blows you away. Everyone was so shocked to see how short I was LOL. Hope to see you again next year and this time we will have to do lunch!
