What to do with a tag...

Recently, I bought these Birch wood tags from a Internet store called Save-on-Crafts.  I bought 3 bags with 25 3-inch tags in each pack for 5.00 for each bag.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do with 75 tags but I knew I'd find a purpose.

Well, yesterday I did.

I painted some of them with AS Chalk Paint and distressed them a little.

I painted another group with chalkboard paint and distressed them too.

Then, I started painting.  I found some bird pictures on the Internet and tried to copy them.  Hey, what else should "Bird Nest Cottage" have than more birds!

I also painted cows on some of them.

Did I even tell you that I used to show cows at our local county fair in the town I grew up in?

I tied these on two milk bottles from my paternal grandfathers dairy.

I sure do love cows and she's pretty cute!  She has udders, that's how I know she's a girl.

I tied the bird tags to the top of my cloches. Yes, I know it's kind of redundant, but I just can't get enough birds or nests.

Can you see all the possibilities for these tags too?

As for the chalk tags, I've got to find something finer to write with on these tags, so I'm off to search the Internet.
