With our new front porch, I knew I wanted some special cushions, especially for the porch swing where my granddaughters love to sit and swing.
When you can’t sew, the cushion decision is easy. Go shopping, buy what you like and place them. When you can sew, it means you can make something special that is pretty, original and comfortable too.
I found some Waverly fabrics at Wal Mart and added a gingham check. I think making large quilt like squares gave the cushion a fun look. Sewing it myself made it easy to customize the size.
I love the red and white gingham on the rocker too.
Right now our front door is decorated for Easter.
The red door is the perfect backdrop for my Easter wreath.
I’ve had this lemon leaf wreath for about 8 years and although I paid $95.00 for it originally, it’s gone through many incarnations depending on the season. You will see it next with different decorations for Summer. Sometimes spending a little more is worth the cost in the long run.
Now if this nasty rain would finally quit I could put the cushions back on the porch.
